The Gryphon which represents to the NZ Freestyle Martial Arts, is a creature from Persian (Irag/Iran) mythology.
Its purpose was to to protect the riches of the King. It is an animal made from the body of a lion, the head & claws of an eagle, the tail of a monkey & wings of a swan. The lion represents strength & pride, the eagle speed & focus, the monkey flexibility & the swan grace & poise.
